the Blessed One, paid homage to him, sat down to one side, and

said to him: 「Venerable sir, it is said, 『right view, right view.』 In

what way, venerable sir, is there right view?」

「This world, Kaccna, for the most part depends upon a duality—upon the notion of existence and the notion of nonexistence.29 But for one who sees the origin of the world as it really is

with correct wisdom, there is no notion of nonexistence in regard

to the world. And for one who sees the cessation of the world as

it really is with correct wisdom, there is no notion of existence in

regard to the world.30

「This world, Kaccna, is for the most part shackled by engagement, clinging, and adherence.31 But this one [with right view]

does not become engaged and cling through that engagement

and clinging, mental standpoint, adherence, underlying tendency;

he does not take a stand about 『my self.』32 He has no perplexity

or doubt that what arises is only suffering arising, what ceases is

only suffering ceasing. His knowledge about this is independent

of others. It is in this way, Kaccna, that there is right view.33

「『All exists』: Kaccna, this is one extreme. 『All does not exist』:

this is the second extreme. Without veering towards either of

these extremes, the Tathgata teaches the Dhamma by the middle: 『With ignorance as condition, volitional formations [come to

be]; with volitional formations as condition, consciousness….

Such is the origin of this whole mass of suffering. But with the

remainderless fading away and cessation of ignorance comes

cessation of volitional formations; with the cessation of volitional formations, cessation of consciousness…. Such is the cessation

of this whole mass of suffering.」 [18]

善男子。復有十二種勝法。菩薩成就。名發阿耨多羅三藐三菩提心。何等十二。

一者安隱心。為與一切眾生樂故。發菩提心。

二者愍唸心。他惡來加能忍將護不生異相故。發菩提心。

四者大慈心。為拔一切惡道苦故。發菩提心。

五者清淨心。能於餘乘不生願樂故。發菩提心。

六者無染心。為離一切煩惱濁故。發菩提心。

七者光明心。為求無上自性清淨光明照故。發菩提心。

八者幻心。能知諸法究竟無物故。發菩提心。

九者無物心。能知一切無所有故。發菩提心。

十者堅固心。於諸法中不可動故。發菩提心。

十一者不退心。能證諸法究竟盡故。發菩提心。

十二者度諸眾生不生厭心。如說修行故。發菩提心。

所有一切眾生之類。若卵生。若胎生。

若濕生。若化生。若有色。

若無色。若有想。若無想。

如是滅度無量無數無邊眾生。實無眾生得滅度者。何以故。

須菩提。若菩薩有我相。人相。

眾生相。壽者相。即非菩薩
